Retired Members

Pensioners who are 65 years or older and no longer actively practicing in formal employment or consultancy can elect to continue their association with the Institute in a "Fellow (retired)", "Associate (retired)" or "Member (retired)" capacity. This enables the retired member to receive IRMSA communications, attend functions and events at Member prices and keep abreast of developments in the profession. A nominal fee of R90 incl per annum is levied for retired members.

As this status is effectively a continuation of a practicing accredited status, no new application is required. The member should simply apply to the Membership Committee in writing for change in designation and provide a copy of their Identity Document / Proof of Date of Birth.
