The Institute of Risk Management has completed their first major project - the Code of Practice for Enterprise Risk Management. This document encompasses 10 principles for guidance on implementing an enterprise risk management programme and includes a scorecard to assist with benchmarking. Developed by Dr Steven Briers of KPMG in conjunction with representatives from IRMSA, the Institute of Internal Auditors, UNISA, Wits and other Industry experts, the code will provide a reference for companies to review and assess their progress to date and to give them a way forward to ensure full compliance with section 2 - Risk Management and Internal Controls of the King II guidelines on corporate governance. Cost, including direct couriering to the recipient will be R142.50 per booklet for members and R165.30 per booklet for non members, including VAT. Copies of the Code
